Inside city limits, Google Maps is my go-to, no question. It finds pretty much any business you're looking for, and the reviews and photos make it easy to figure out where you're going even if you've never been there before.
But once I get out on the open highway, those same features stop mattering as much. Out there, I don't care about business reviews — I care about knowing what's coming up in time to actually do something about it: a sudden speed limit change, a speed camera, a sharp curve, a pothole, a car stopped on the shoulder, a closure, traffic building up ahead. Google Maps has gotten better at some of this over the years, but for highway driving, Waze still wins, hands down.
