Tally Course in Amritsar
TallyPrime, GST & Practical Accounting — our Tally course in Amritsar, 8 Weeks. Double-entry bookkeeping taught on paper first, then TallyPrime end to end: vouchers, inventory, GST returns, payroll, TDS, and the reports a business owner actually asks for.
Course Overview
Most Tally courses teach you which keys to press. That is the easy half, and it is the half that falls apart the first time a trial balance will not match and nobody in the room can say why. So the first two weeks here are on paper: debit and credit, journal, ledger, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet. Then TallyPrime opens, and all of it suddenly makes sense.
From week three you enter a full year of transactions for a sample trading business — the kind on every second street here. Payments, receipts, sales, purchases, debit and credit notes, bill-wise tracking, outstanding receivables and ageing reports. Then inventory: stock groups, units, godowns, batches, valuation methods and reorder levels.
Weeks five and six are GST, which is most of why people take this course. CGST, SGST and IGST, place of supply, and which applies to an invoice raised in Punjab. Rates set at company, group and item level. Reverse charge. Then GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B generated from Tally, checked and corrected — including reconciling GSTR-2B and finding what a supplier failed to file, which is the problem that eats an accountant’s week.
The last two weeks are payroll, TDS and banking: employee masters, pay heads, attendance, payslips, PF and ESI as they apply to a small Punjab employer, TDS deduction and challans, bank reconciliation and cheque printing. We finish on reports — not producing them, but being able to explain what each number means when the owner asks.
Classes are in person on Majitha Road, on machines with TallyPrime licensed, so nobody learns from a screenshot. If you are comparing Tally classes in Amritsar, the question worth asking any of them is how many weeks go on accounting rather than on software. Here it is two out of eight, and they are the two that make the other six work.

Common Questions
The things people ask us on the phone before they enrol — answered the same way we would answer them there.
There is no separate price for it. WebPrims charges one fee — ₹4,500 / month — and it covers any course in the catalogue, so the Tally course works out at about 2 months — around ₹9,000 in total. No admission fee, no registration fee, and the certificate is included.
Monday to Saturday, with batches starting at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Each slot runs up to two hours — sometimes a session finishes early, never late. That works out at roughly 96 hours of class time across the 8 Weeks. Pick whichever time fits around college or work, and move to another later if your timetable changes; it is the same Tally syllabus in each. We are closed on Sunday.
8 Weeks of taught material, which is about 2 months of Tally classes. That is the pace of the syllabus; how long you actually take depends on how often you turn up, and nobody is pushed to keep up with the batch.
None. It begins with what a debit is, on paper, before TallyPrime is opened at all. People arrive here from B.Com, from a family shop, and from having never seen a ledger.
A full year of books for a sample trading business: vouchers entered, inventory tracked, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B generated and reconciled, payroll run, and the reports explained line by line.
Because Tally is the easy part. Someone who has only learnt which keys to press cannot tell you why the trial balance will not match, and that is the moment every accounts job actually tests. Two weeks on double-entry first makes the other six make sense.
We do not run placements and we will not promise you one — that is true of every course we teach. What is true is that the trading businesses, CA offices and distributors around Amritsar hire for exactly this, and that walking in able to file a GSTR-3B and explain a mismatch puts you ahead of a certificate on its own.
Yes. Book a free demo class and sit in a real Tally session — one that was running anyway, not a presentation arranged for you. Write some code on one of our machines, ask the students already in it what it is like, and decide afterwards. Nothing to pay and no obligation.
