Course Overview

Most Python courses teach you syntax. We do not. We start with the obvious stuff installing Python, running your first script, understanding what actually happens when you hit Enter, but we do not stay there long. The real focus is on why things work the way they do. Why does Python handle integers differently than other languages? Why does is behave weirdly sometimes? These are the questions that matter when you are debugging at 2 AM in a real job.

You will write code from day one. Not toy examples, but actual programs that do something useful. A CLI tool that organizes your downloads folder. A script that scrapes and cleans messy data. A small REST API that actually runs on your machine. Every week builds on the last, and by the time you hit OOP and decorators, you already have the mental model to understand them. No memorizing definitions. No copying code from slides.

The middle stretch is where it gets serious. You will build APIs with FastAPI that talk to PostgreSQL databases, wire up Celery workers for background jobs, and deal with the kind of problems that show up in production: connection pools, timeouts, race conditions. Then we bring in the modern stuff: LangChain for AI agent workflows, Ollama for running models locally, Docker for packaging everything cleanly, and Nginx with GitHub Actions for actual deployment. Not theory. You will deploy a real service to a real server.

Sixteen weeks sounds like a lot, but it moves fast. What you walk away with is not a certificate, but the ability to open a blank file, architect a backend system, and ship it. That is what we care about.

Why learn Python in Amritsar at WebPrims

Most Python training in Amritsar stops at syntax and a certificate. We run this course out of a working software studio on Majitha Road, so the person teaching you async Python is the same person who has debugged it in production at two in the morning.

Classes are small, capped at a 1:8 mentor ratio, and every student gets access to a real server and Git repository rather than a shared lab machine. You can attend in person at our Amritsar centre or join the same live batch online.

By the end you will have working projects on your own GitHub profile, not screenshots in a folder. That is the difference students from Amritsar, Jalandhar and Batala keep coming back to us for.

Curriculum Blueprint

Weekly module breakdown covering architecture, database, deployment, and AI integration.

Week 1
  • Installing Python, setting up your environment (venv, pip, VS Code), running your first script, understanding the REPL vs running .py files
  • Variables, integers, floats, strings, booleans: what Python actually stores in memory when you assign a variable
  • Control flow: if/elif/else, for loops, while loops, break/continue, and why Python does not have a switch statement (until match/case)
Week 2
  • Functions: parameters vs arguments, default values, *args and **kwargs, return vs implicit None, and scope rules (LEGB)
  • Lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries: mutability, hashing, time complexity of lookups, and when to use which one
  • String manipulation: slicing, f-strings, string methods, encoding/decoding, and why strings are immutable in Python
Week 3
  • Memory model: reference counting, garbage collection, id() and is vs ==, and why small integers are cached
  • File handling: reading/writing text and binary files, context managers (with statement), and working with paths using pathlib
  • Error handling: try/except/finally, custom exceptions, raising errors, and why catching Exception broadly is a bad idea
Week 4
  • Generators and iterators: yield, generator expressions, lazy evaluation, and building custom iterators with __iter__ and __next__
  • Functional tools: map, filter, reduce, itertools (chain, product, combinations), and when functional style beats loops
  • Clean code practices: logging instead of print, structural pattern matching (match/case), and writing context managers from scratch

Common Questions

The things people ask us on the phone before they enrol — answered the same way we would answer them there.

There is no separate price for it. WebPrims charges one fee — ₹4,500 / month — and it covers any course in the catalogue, so the Python course works out at about 4 months — around ₹18,000 in total. No admission fee, no registration fee, and the certificate is included.

Something here not answered? Ask us directly or book a free demo class and put it to the Python mentor in person.
