Data science and data analytics get used as if they were the same job, and the difference decides which of these courses you want. Analytics is about answering questions from data that already exists — SQL, dashboards, statistics, and explaining a number to somebody who did not ask for a model. Data science adds prediction: machine learning, feature engineering, and models you train and evaluate. Analytics roles are far more common, hire faster, and are the better first target for most people.
Advanced Excel sits in this group on purpose. It is unfashionable and it is also what an enormous number of actual data jobs in Amritsar run on, from trading businesses to clinics to distributors. Six weeks of Power Query, PivotTables and DAX is often worth more locally than six months of machine learning that nobody around you is hiring for.

Questions people ask before choosing
Data analytics or data science — which should I take?
Analytics, unless you already know you want to build models. There are far more analytics roles, they hire on demonstrable skills rather than on a degree, and the SQL and statistics underneath are the foundation of the data science course anyway. Going analytics first and adding machine learning later costs the same monthly fee as starting with data science.
Do I need maths or statistics to join the data science course in Amritsar?
School-level maths is enough to start. The statistics you need is taught inside the course, in the order you need it, rather than assumed from a syllabus you may have finished years ago. What you do need is patience with detail — most of this work is cleaning data that arrived wrong, and no course can make that part enjoyable.
Will I learn Power BI and Tableau, or only Python?
Data Analytics is built around SQL and Power BI, because that is what the job descriptions here ask for, with Python for the parts a dashboard cannot do. Data Science is Python-first. If you have a specific tool a prospective employer named, tell us before you enrol and we will say honestly whether this is the right course for it.
Is Advanced Excel really worth a separate course?
For the work that exists locally, often yes. Power Query alone replaces hours of copy and paste every week, and being the person in an office who can build a model nobody else can maintain is a real position. It is six weeks and the cheapest course we run in total cost, which makes it the easiest one to test us with.
